NAC to add Wide Body Airbus every year

NACKathmandu / Feb 6: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has unveiled its ambitious plan to add at least an airbus every year.

At a press conference organized here on Monday to address queries raised in connection with the procurement of Airbus Wide Body A 330-200, General Manager Sugat Ratna Kansakar said that the NAC has floated a plan to purchase at least one plane every year.

He further shared the process to procure a wide body aircraft has been under taken after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the AAR Company of the US for the same.

The NAC has set its target to sign the Wide Body procurement contract by 13 April. The price of the aircraft is around Rs. 10.9 billion. With the addition of the air bus, NAC would expand its flight services to new destinations such as Seoul, Sydney and Tokyo among others. RSS
