Vote counting concludes in 237 local levels

Vote-counting-KathmanduKathmandu/ July 3: Counting of votes in 237 local levels has been completed till 9:00 am on Monday.

“As per the information provided by the Joint Election Operation Centre, counting of votes is underway in 91 local levels,” read a press statement issued today.

Similarly, the Commission has been trying to resume the counting of votes in six local levels, which was halted due to various reasons.

The counting of votes in 18 districts has been completed so far, read the statement.

In Province 1, the counting of ballots were completed in Khotang, Taplejung, Terhathum, Dhankuta, Panchthar, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha and Solukhumbu districts.

Similarly, vote counting in Gulmi, Palpa, Rukum and Rolpa districts of Province 5 were also completed.

Likewise, the counting of votes was completed in Dadeldhura, Doti, Darchula, Bajhang, Bajura and Baitadi districts of Province 7.

The second phase of local level elections were held in 334 local levels of 35 districts in Provinces 1, 5 and 7 on June 28.
