Nine laws sent for province assemblies

government logoKathmandu / Apr 29: The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has sent sample of nine laws so far for running the business of the Province Assemblies.

According to the ministry’s officials, the drafts of bill on remuneration and perks of chief ministers and ministers, bill on remuneration and perks of office-bearers of province assemblies and members, bill on province assembly secretariat, bill on functions, duties and rights of chief attorneys and bill on internal public procurement procedures were sent to the province assemblies.

Under Secretary at the Ministry, Hom Bahadur KC said that the samples of the bills were sent for running the business of the province assemblies and other laws would be sent within a month.

KC said that a total of 22 laws are required to smoothly run the province assemblies.
The samples of laws would be passed either by revising or in the original form from the province assemblies.

Meanwhile, the ministry has drafted 88 laws so far after the implementation of the new constitution. RSS
