Nepal remain unchanged in FIFA rankings

Kathmandu / Apr 4: Nepal have remained static in this month of FIFA rankings. According to world football governing body FIFA, Nepal ranked in the 161st position with 996 points.

In the south Asian region, power-house India leads the way in 101st position with 1219 points followed by Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka respectively.

The Maldives are ranked 151st, Bhutan and Bangladesh make up 186th and 188th position. Pakistan and Sri Lanka hold 200th and 202 the positions and are lowest ranked nations in the region.

In the world football, Belgium, France, Brazil, England, and Croatia are ranked top five nations respectively by FIFA. Spain, Germany, Netherlands and Italy are ranked 9th, 13th, 16th and 17th respectively in this month’s ranking.
