Lawmaker Khadka Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship from Dec 7

Nepali Cricket teamBaglung / November 30: A Twenty-20 (T-20) Cricket Championship is to be organised here from December 7 in memory of lawmaker the late Hari Bahadur Khadka.

More than 15 teams from various districts are expected to participate in the First Hari Khadka Memorial Cup T-20 Cricket Championship, according to the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU), Baglung, the championship organisers.

NSU Baglung chapter president Khadka Thapa said the national championship to be played using the tennis ball (soft ball) is the tournament carrying the highest prize in the entire Western Development Region.

The winner team of the championship will bag Rs 55 thousand 555 along with the trophy and medals and the first runner-up team Rs 33 thousand 333 along with trophy and medals, said Sujan Sapkota, the Championship Coordinator.

Lawmaker Hari Bahadur Khadka who was elected the Constituent Assembly member from Baglung constituency-1 died on December 7 last year, succumbing to the injuries that he sustained in a fatal road accident that occurred four days before. RSS
