Baitadi / December 12: The first youth conference held in Baitadi district has concluded on Friday by issuing a 10-point declaration.

The event organised by the District Development Committee with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) held discussions on the recently approved youth vision-2025 and 10-year strategic plan of action, National Youth Policy 2072 BS, legal provisions drafted for the youth, youth’s participation among other issues were discussed.

The declaration includes taking initiatives to increase youth’s access to education, health and employment as well as running advocacy programmes for increasing youth’s participation in the development works, UNFPA District Officer Ganesh Shahi said.

He further added that networks of youth would be formed in all VDCs in the district and meaningful participation of the youth would be increased in planning formulation at the local level. RSS
