PM Oli pledges to leave no stone unturned in fulfilling his responsibilities

PM OliKathmandu / February 5: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in media for his hypothetical statements regarding the production of power from wind and supplying gasoline through pipeline without starting any initiative, has once again pledged to leave no stone unturned to perform duty with full dedication.

Addressing a tea reception organised by Press Chautari Nepal on the occasion of its 18th establishment day here Friday, Prime Minister Oli said he would leave no place for question over his performance when he makes his exit from the Singha Durbar (prime ministerial post). He said only works in the interest of the nation was his goal.

The Mega Campaign for the reconstruction of earthquake damaged structures has already kicked off and the five-year campaign for renovating disaster affected heritages of archeological importance will start from April 24, the Prime Minister said.

He urged the people not to take his commitments to make the country self-dependent on power productions within the next two years lightly, adding that he was accountable for his public commitments.

The CPN (UML) Chair further said drafting the constitution by the people’s representatives was not a minor achievement and none is entitled to refuse this historic achievement.

He said he is embarking on visits to India and China and such visits would be meaningful.

On the occasion, CPN (UML) Dissemination and Publicity Department Yogesh Bhattarai said the party is always fighting for press freedom and the rights of working journalists.

President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Dr Mahendra Bista said the year 2015 recorded 136 incidents of the violation of press freedom and 114 alone were reported during the course of the fresh Tarai agitation.
