Bhuj reconstruction boosts confidence for rebuilding in Nepal: PM Oli

PM Press Conference IndiaPrakash Silwal (India) / February 23: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has observed that the post-earthquake reconstruction works carried out in Bhuj, India have increased the confidence of the same in Nepal.

PM Oli, who is on a state visit to India, said this after observing the post-earthquake reconstruction in Bhuj today. Bhij city in Gujarat was completely destroyed by a powerful earthquake in 2001.

Talking to the locals and journalists in Bhuj, the Prime Minister said, “An example that rebuilding can be done when works are carried out together with determination is seen here.”

He said that India has provided significant cooperation in the post-earthquake reconstruction in Nepal and also hoped that this cooperation would be continued in the coming days as well.

PM Oli stated that although Nepal is small in size, it is a country with huge diversity, and that the support of countries like India was expected in the days ahead for the prosperity of and reconstruction in Nepal. RSS
