‘Nepal’s aspiration to attain prosperity with China’s development’

Kathmandu / Dec 21: Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Hitraj Pandey has expressed the country’s desire towards attaining prosperity through optimum utilization of opportunity resulted in from the growing economic prosperity of China.

Minister Pandey said this at a good will meeting held with a Chinese delegation headed by Chairperson of People’s Congress of China’s Tibetan autonomous region, Bi Ma Chilin, at the Ministry on Wednesday.

Noting that Nepal has accorded high importance to its relations with China, he expressed the government’s firm commitment to ‘One China Policy’.

Nepal welcomes the ‘One Belt One Road’ project put forth by Chinese President Xi Jinping, Minister Pandey said, expressing belief that the Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank would play spectacular role for the infrastructural development of the region.

On the occasion, leader Bi said that the development of infrastructure including railway and road connectivity as the part of the 13th five-year development plan recently implemented by the Chinese government is to connect South Asia under ‘One Belt One Road’ project. RSS
