Home Minister Thapa stresses on technology in investigation

Kathmandu / May 20: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has opined for enhancing the technology in crime investigation process.

While addressing a concluding session of the Strategic and Leadership Development Training organized by National Policy Training Academy here in Maharajgunj in the capital on Monday Minister Thapa argued that crime rates could be lessened after implementing the IT in investigation system. He also added that the training will empower the police personnel by enhancing their skills.

Speaking in the same program, Secretary at the Ministry Prem Kumar Rai also stressed on the importance of the training. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarvendra Khanal also said that the police were facing challenges in investigation process but it could be made easier by using technologies. RSS
