Minister Aryal vows to develop Ramgram

Parasi / July 3: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal has said that government is committed to developing Ramgram, an ancient site connected with the lord Buddha.

She expressed this commitment on Tuesday while observing the Ramgram Stupa.

Minister Aryal said Ramgram would be developed by connecting it with Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha.

“The government is on the path of development and prosperity. The government will develop Ramgram and Lumbini simultaneously,” she asserted.

Locals drew the Minister’s attention to the fact that the government has not given due importance to the development of Ramgram when she reached the Stupa to observe it.

Chairperson of Ramgram municipality Shiva Shanker Harijan informed that more than 30,000 tourists visit Ramgram annually. He added that place has lagged behind in terms of development .

Minister Aryal also visited the historical Palhi Bhagawati temple located at Ward-4 of Palhinandan rural municipality and Martyr Bishnu Pandey Memorial Park at Bankatti, Sunawal-5 in Rupandehi. RSS
