FIR filed against three including Lamichhane

Kathmandu / August 18: A FIR has been filed against three persons including television program presenter Rabi Lamichhane over the death of journalist Shalikram Pudasaini.

Pudasaini’s wife Samjhana on Sunday filed FIR against Lamichhane, Yubraj Kandel and Asmita Karki at Chitwan Police through Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, said Chief of the Range, SSP, Uttamraj Subedi. He said that the FIR has already been sent to District Police Office, Chitwan.

SP of Chitwan, Dan Bahadur Malla, said that complaints have been filed against the three persons, who are now in police custody. Earlier, the family of Pudasaini had filed a complaint before police demanding an investigation into the incident.

Pudasaini was found dead by hanging in a hotel in Chitwan on August 5. Pudasaini had recorded a video before his death and police on Thursday arrested Lamichhane, Kandel and Karki on the basis of the video recording and took them to Chitwan for necessary investigation. The Chitwan District Court on Friday remanded them for five days in judicial custody for further investigation into the case. RSS
