COVID-19 update: 2,933 new cases, 3,150 recoveries and 24 deaths in 24 hours
Kathmandu / Nov. 2: With 2,933 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection confirmed on Monday, Nepal’s COVID-19 caseload has reached 176,500.
Currently, there 37, 524 are active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.
Meanwhile, 3,150 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 137,922 cases of recoveries.
As many as 24 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours and with this, the national COVID-19 related death tally has reached 984.
Kathmandu Valley reports 1,630 new cases
The Kathmandu Valley on Monday recorded 1,630 new cases of COVID-19.
“In 13, 446 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,630 cases of novel coronavirus infections, including 702 females and 928 males, were confirmed in the Kathmandu Valley itself,” revealed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its daily update.
