1,442 new cases of COVID-19, 3,538 Recoveries, tally reaches 212,917

Kathmandu / Nov, 18: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Wednesday confirmed 1,442 new cases of COVID-19. The national COVID-19 tally has now reached 212,917.

“As many as 1,442 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours,” said the MoHP in its daily update.

Currently, there are 28,878 active cases of COVID-19 and 910 persons, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine.

Meanwhile, some 3,538 patients who were either receiving treatment in various institutional isolations or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has recorded 182,780 COVID-19 recoveries until now.

Moreover, 12 patients succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours taking the nation’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,259.
