SC refutes news about CJ seeking ‘share’ in the cabinet

Kathmandu / Oct 4: The Supreme Court has refuted news reports that Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana has sought his ‘share’ in the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led cabinet.

Issuing a press statement on Monday, Supreme Court Spokesperson Baburam Dahal said it was irrelevant that the media was mentioning Chief Justice in the news saying he wanted his share in the cabinet. “It is very sad and unfortunate that some publications exaggerated and published misleading news regarding the formation and expansion of the cabinet and have irrelevantly linked Chief Justice Rana,” the statement read.

The apex court has requested the media to transmit sensible news and verify before publishing.
