Minister Rawal assures land ownership certificates for landless squatters

Kanchanpur / Aug 24: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal has announced the establishment of a commission to address the challenges faced by people displaced from Shuklaphanta National Park.

Addressing a gathering of those affected, she assured them that the commission would be formed within a week to address their concerns. Minister Rawal stressed the need for patience and cooperation from the displaced community, urging them to halt their ongoing protests and support the commission’s initiatives.

Minister Rawal also interacted with landless residents in various municipalities, advising them to remain calm as the government prepares to issue land ownership certificates (Lal Purja). She said legal reforms had been introduced to streamline the process and that the District Land Commission would expedite the distribution of the certificates.

She also acknowledged the need for further legal amendments to address the issues faced by landless residents across the country.

During her visit, Rawal also inspected the construction of Majhgaun Airport and a dry port in Dodhara Chandani Municipality, underscoring the government’s commitment to infrastructure development in the area. RSS
