Pustantaran Care Signs MoU with Spark Car Rental to Provide Senior-Friendly Transportation

Kathmandu / Sept. 08: Pustantaran Care, a care centre dedicated for promoting dignified aging in Nepal, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Spark Car Rental to facilitate safe, comfortable and senior-friendly transportation services for senior citizens.

The MoU aims to support the mobility, independence, safety and dignity of older persons, particularly those requiring transportation for healthcare appointments, hospital visits, Pustantaran Care programs, airport transfers, family engagements and other essential journeys.

Under the agreement, Spark Car Rental will provide transportation services to senior citizens referred or recommended by Pustantaran Care, subject to availability and mutually agreed arrangements. The company will also encourage its drivers and service personnel to provide courteous, patient and respectful services, including reasonable assistance to senior citizens with mobility needs.

The agreement was signed by Pratibedan Baidya, Founder of Pustantaran Care, on behalf of Pustantaran Care, and Sitaram Ghimire, Co-Founder of Spark Car Rental, on behalf of Spark.

Speaking on the occasion, Baidya said the partnership is an important step toward making transportation more accessible and comfortable for senior citizens and contributing to the broader mission of dignified aging in Nepal.

The two organizations have agreed to coordinate transportation requirements, facilitate bookings and maintain appropriate confidentiality and privacy of senior citizen passengers. The MoU will remain valid for two years from the date of signing.

The partnership reflects the shared commitment of Pustantaran Care and Spark Car Rental to help senior citizens remain connected with their families, communities, healthcare services and social activities while living with greater independence, comfort and dignity.
