NC president Thapa pledges flexibility for party unity

Syangja / Sept 10: President of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has said he was ready to become more flexible for the sake of party unity.

Addressing a condolence assembly organised by Nepali Congress Syangja district chapter on the 45th day of passing of NC senior leader and former Deputy Prime Minister, Gopal Man Shrestha, today, president Thapa opined that he would move ahead responsibly to strengthen NC.

“I pledge flexibility for party unity. It is also necessary to move ahead by taking serious moves so that shortcomings in the party would be wiped out,” Thapa said, adding that it was however not easy. The step can be ruthless for the sake of the party’s welfare.

Stating that the NC has been resolving problems being responsible at difficult time surfaced in the country, president Thapa mentioned that NC would develop trust and confidence among the citizens.

Late Shrestha had played a significant role in strengthening party, he observed and underlined that it was not right time to blame the government as the country has faced massive destruction.

General secretary Pradip Paudel, chief minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, NC Gandaki president Shukra Raj Sharma and other speakers recounted the roles Shrestha played for the party and system. RSS
