Kathmandu / Oct 14: This year’s monsoon has withdrawn from all parts of Nepal, 12 days later than the average withdrawal date, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) said on Wednesday.

According to the DHM, monsoon withdrawal began on October 3, when it receded from most places in Sudurpashchim, Karnali and western Lumbini provinces, as well as some parts of western Gandaki Province.

The monsoon fully withdrew from Nepal on October 14, compared with the average withdrawal date of October 2.

The DHM said local and westerly winds may continue to influence weather conditions even after the monsoon’s withdrawal.
