Electricity generated from garbage in prison house
Morang / November 7: The District Development Committee, Morang, has generated electricity in the Biratnagar Prison House through the alternative energy technology.
Officer at the Alternative Energy Centre, Gyanendra Singh, said that three kilowatt of power is generated from two toilets of 35 cube metres in the prison house.
The power is sufficient to illuminate the prison house as well as four ovens are used for cooking meal from the same energy, Singh added.
The prison house administration said that the technology was installed at the cost of Rs 500,000. RSS
