Kerosene distribution from 32 places of Valley on Friday
Kathmandu / November 19: In view of the acute shortage of cooking gas, the government is distributing kerosene as an alternative from Friday.
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) will be selling a total of 96,000 litres of kerosene from 32 different places of Kathmandu Valley.
The NOC shared this information by issuing a notice on Thursday.
Emergency service to get fuel easily
Meanwhile, the government has said it would provide the fuel to the emergency services as the vehicles of hospital, educational institutions, drinking water, DDC, security bodies, and of the institutes supplying agro products.
The Ministry of Commernce and Supply has said such agencies/offices would be provided the fuel easily in view of addressing the need of security, foods, education, and health facilities.
Domestic flights being affected
However, after the NOC failed to provide air fuel, domestic flights are likely to be affected on Friday.
Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) also failed to bring the fuel as per the need. The NAC was airlifting aviation fuel from Kolkotta.
Although NOC has already made advance payment of Rs 130 million to the NAC, but NAC did not abide by the agreement.
