Implementation of film policy soon: Minister Rai

Kathmandu / November 22: Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Sherdhan Rai, has said the film policy would be enforced after necessary discussion.

At a programme organized by the Pro-people Film Association Nepal in his honour on Sunday, Minister Rai said as the film sector is one of the pillars of nation’s identity, he would consolidate this pillar.

Although the State has not paid due attention, the film makers themselves are protecting and promoting this sector, he said, adding, “Film sector has tremendous contribution to the society to bring this stage.”

On the occasion, Association Chairman Keshav Bhattarai said the State needs to take initiative to develop film sector as a national industry. For this, the film artists were ready to cooperate, he added. RSS
