Media Directory and Mobile Apps released

Kathmandu / January 4: Minister for Information and Communications, Sherdhan Rai, has today released ‘Media Directory’ and Mobile Apps prepared by the Department of Information.

Launching the Application at a programme organised by the Ministry at Singha Durbar, Minister Rai said that the government was actively engaged in making the journalism accountable and responsible towards the people.

He said, “We have been working for the implementation of access and rights of people to information as per the sentiments of the new constitution.”

The Communications Minister expressed the belief that both the service providers and users would be benefited from the new apps.

Officiating Secretary Kabiraj Khanal and Director General at the Department, Laxmi Bilas Koirala, also expressed their views.

The apps could be installed in smart phone, tab and computer, among others from the website of the Department. RSS
