Songs of Nepal’s 1st animated movie released in London
Kathmandu: Songs of Nepal’s first animated movie in Nepal and Nepali languages with subtitles in English were released in London of the United Kingdom on May 15.
The Pasa Puchah Guthi UK had organised the music release of ‘ShankhadharYaa Baakha‘ (The Legend of Shankhadhar).
PPGUK London President Kapil Shrestha, past President and Advisor Sachetan Tuladhar, PPGUK Southeast Region President Chutra Bahadur Shrestha, PPGUK Board of Trustees’ Vice-President Kumar Shrestha and General Secretary Shibaji Shrestha jointly launched the music CD.
Speaking at the function, PPGUK London Vice-President Ojesh Singh highlighted the importance of the movie in furthering the culture and heritage of Nepal.
Likewise, the movie’s producer and director Sanyukta Shrestha, who also wrote songs for the movie, shared that the movie’s teaser received a warm welcome at the 2nd world Newah convention in the USA.
He also shared that it was awarded with the best creative arts award at Nepal Fine Art Academy’s national exhibition this year.
Music director Bishwo Shahi explained the challenges he faced in recreating sounds which could best represent a time period from more than a thousand years ago.
The movie is scheduled to be released in the UK by the Guthi on the new year of Nepal Samvat 1137 (October 2016). Source: The Himalayan Times
