Police clean up illegal marijuana farming

police logoBhojpur / July 28: The Bhojpur District Police Office has intensified clean-up of illegal marijuana farming this year as well.

Police had destroyed marijuana illegally planted at nine Ropanis of land in Hasanpur VDC-2 on July 20. Likewise, the police squad had cleaned up illegally planted marijuana of around seven Ropanis of land at ward no 5, 6 and 7 of Hasanpur VDC on July 22, informed the Bhojpur District Police Office.

As part of the illegal marijuana farming clean-up drive, police destroyed the narcotic plants cultivated at two Ropanis of land in Hasanpur-1 on July 24 and uprooted its farming at nine Ropanis of land in Hasanpur 8 and 9 on July 26.

So far police had cracked down marijuana farming cultivated at 36.5 Ropanis of land in the VDC alone, said Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) Raj Kumar Lamsal.

The Bhojpur District Police had launched the drive last year. RSS
