NA bags bronze medal in Cambrian Patrol Competition
Kathmandu / Oct 25: Nepal Army team has secured third position at the Cambrian Patrol Competition organized at Wales of the United Kingdom (UK).
It is the most challenging events in the world. The Durgabaks Battalion of the NA won the bronze medal out of 120 teams competing in the event from different 20 countries.
An eight-member team led by Lieutenant Prajwal Khanal had participated in the competition.
This is a proud moment for the country and the Nepal Army and such opportunities help in strengthening NA’s relations with the armies of other countries, NA sources shared.
It is an annual international military patrolling exercise that makes its participating units cover an 80 km course in less than 48 hours while performing numerous types of military exercises placed throughout the rugged Cambrian Mountains and swamp lands of mid-Wales of the UK.
The competition consists of teams of eight personnel patrolling across some of the most unforgiving terrain. It’s a test of leadership, self-discipline, courage, physical endurance and determination to the Army officials of the world.
The competition had begun from the first week of October and had continued until Mid-October. RSS
