Transparency, accountability key to business management: Norwegian Ambassador Tormod Pettersen

Kathmandu / Dec 13: Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal, Kejell Tormod Pettersen, has said transparency and accountability are keys to successful business management. These are not only the principles for politicians and public officials, but important for private sector, he added.

Ambassador Pettersen was saying this during a Nordic Talk on Business Management organized in Lalitpur on Tuesday. “Today the Nordic Model is characterized by democracy, good governance, an advanced welfare system and relative social equality,” he shared.

According to him, the tripartite relationship between the State, the employer and employee organizations have been the crux to this success and presents an excellent example how conflicts can be addressed collectively.

Moreover, he said both Nepal and Norway are blessed with natural resources, giving us good opportunities for development e.g. hydro energy and tourism. RSS
