Leaders praise late Tamang’s contribution to assimilate BP’s socialism in party

Bhim BahadurKathmandu / December 3: Bhim Bahadur Tamang – an ideal figure of Nepali politics and Nepali Congress (NC) leader was remembered at his fourth memorial assembly day in the capital on Wednesday.

At a programme organized to mark the commemorative day, NC Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel dubbed the contributions made by Tamang to the advancement of Nepali politics exemplary. On another note, leader Poudel stressed that all sides should come together for the implementation of the constitution which is the most inclusive one in the South Asia.

CPN-UML leader and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Ananda Prasad Pokharel appreciated the late Tamang as a true democratic leader. “Bhim Bahadurji took me to the residences of Congress leaders, BP Koirala, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and Ganeshman Singh but never insisted me to convert my ideology. It demonstrated his non-interfering political personality”, he added

NC central member Bimalendra Nidhi pointed out the need that the party should take ahead Tamang’s saying ‘where identity is visible, conflict vanishes’ as a campaign.

Another NC leader Bal Krishna Khand said there is no alternative but all parties to unite during the tough time of national crisis.

Also speaking at the programme, NC central members Bhishma Raj Angdambe, invitee central member Kabel Bahadur Lama and Jeep Chhering Lama among others suggested the party to adopt the ideological line of late Tamang and coordinate efforts to establish institutions and monuments in memory of his contributions.
