2nd ‘Guras Mahotsav’ in Myagdi village

rhododendronMyagdi / December 6: The Second Guras Mahotsav (rhododendron festival) is to hold in Todke village of Myagdi district from March 8 to 12, 2016 for the promotion and publicity of the famous touristic village.

A meeting of the stakeholders held Saturday in coordination of Todke Area Development Trust, Myagdi, in Beni decided to organise the event in the tourist destination site.

Currently, the locals are building the required infrastructures targeting the event. The organiser said that the festival would help draw attraction of the bodies concerned for further infrastructure development to lure more domestic and international tourists in the area.

The area is famous for different 16 species of rhododendron including white-flowering rhododendron and others. The village located at the altitude of 3,800 metres is famous for potato and radish grown at the local level and it is also a view point for 16 different mountains. RSS
