Quality of education not measured on the basis of uniform: PM Oli

PM OliBanepa / December 6: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that education resolving the problems of country was the need of hour.

Addressing the 21st Convocation ceremony of Kathmandu University (KU), Dhulikhel, today, Prime Minister Oli said that competitive and practical education was necessary for all. Also the chancellor of the KU, Prime Minister Oli stressed that all should have access to education, while referring to the government’s education policy of ‘Education of all’.

Pointing out that good uniform and tuition fee are not the basis for evaluation of education, PM Oli said that it depends on the quality of the education gained by students. He said practical education was necessary for us, saying the human resources produced from the university should be skilled and capable.

Similarly, Professor at the Seoul National University, SUNG Nak-in, said that success would be achieved after carrying out works with voluntary feelings. Vice-Chancellor at the KU, Dr Ram Kantha Makaju, also expressed his view at the programme.

A total of 1,244 graduates received their degrees. Of them, 553 are boys, 691 girls and 100 are foreign students. RSS
