NHRC to resume monitoring of Madhes unrest

NHRCKathmandu / December 8: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is all set to resume the monitoring/investigate the Madhes unrest.

The human rights watchdog body had put off the monitoring citing insecurity following the attack on the monitoring team and vandalism of the vehicle of NHRC at Jutepani, Nawalpur of Sarlahi district on last December 3.

NHRC Spokesperson Mohana Ansari in a statement said that the human rights constitutional body has started monitoring the situation in Madhes after consultation with and consent of leaders of United Democratic Madhesi Front. RSS
