Barcelona Zoo orangutan laughs at man’s ‘magic trick’

Barcelona / December 12: A wannabe magician showing off his slight-of-hand to an orangutan at the Barcelona Zoo caused the primate to erupt in laughter and fall over with amusement.

Connecticut man Dan Zaleski posted a video to YouTube showing he caught the attention of an orangutan at the Barcelona Zoo and decided to show off a “magic trick.”

The orangutan watches intently through the glass as Zaleski places a cherry in a Styrofoam cup, puts a lid on the cup and shakes it.

Zaleski quickly removes the cherry when the cup is out of the primate’s view, so when he shows the orangutan that the cup is empty, the zoo resident appears amazed by the trick.

The orangutan appears to erupt with laughter and falls to the ground in amusement. “It is crazy how much alike we are,” Zaleski wrote in a Facebook post.(UPI)
