Chand elected CAN President

CANKathmandu / December 15: Chatur Bahadur Chand has been elected President of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) unanimously. Chand is the former Vice- President of the CAN.

The CAN general meeting held in the capital on Monday night also formed 17-member new CAN working committee.

Likewise, Binod Mainali has been picked as senior Vice-President while Shailesh Kumar Chaudhary and Diwakar Ghale as the Vice-Presidents and Ashok Nath Pyakurel as general secretary.

Other 12 persons were also elected CAN members. Meanwhile, the National Sports Council (NSC) expressed concern over the decision taken by CAN, saying that the meeting was held against NSC’s direction. RSS
