Nepal loses in friendly match against Bangladesh

SAFF ChampionshipKathmandu / December 17: Bangladesh on Thursday defeated Nepal in a warm up match in the run- up to the SAFF Championship taking place in India.

In the friendly match held at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka, Nepal lost to Bangladesh 0-1. Nepal conceded the goal in the first half and tried to make a comeback in the second but failed to penetrate the Bangladeshi defense. In a total of 17 matches played against Bangladesh, Nepal has won six, drew one and lost 10.

Nepal will now head to Kerala in India for participating in the SAFF Championship which will kick off on December 23. Nepal will play its opening match against Sri Lanka and face host nation India on December 27. RSS
