Nepal to take on India under SAFF championship today

SAFF ChampionshipKathmandu / December 27: Nepal will take on host India on Sunday in the South Asian Football Federation championship. The match will be held at Trivendrum in the Indian state of Kerala in the evening. This will be Nepal’s last match under its group.

Nepal lost to Sri Lanka 0-1 in the first game of the championship, conceding three points to Sri Lanka. Similarly, India is at the top of the Group with three points after defeating Sri Lanka 2-0.

Although losing to India, Sri Lanka’s hopes of reaching the semi-final are alive. On the other hand, Nepal’s journey to the semi-final has become tough due to its defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka. However, the hope is not over yet. Nepal’s entry to semi-final will be secure only if it defeats India which is considered a strong team. RSS
