Nepal in Group-A in U-23 Bangabandhu Cup Football Championship

ANFAKathmandu / December 31: Nepal has been placed in Group A of the U-23 Bangabandhu Cup Football Championship to be held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, from January 8, 2016.

The groups were decided by a draw held today at the Bangladesh Football Federation House in Dhaka, according to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

The other teams in Group A include Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh (U-23 team). Malaysia is the defending champion.

Baharain, the Maldives, Cambodia and Bangladesh (national team) are placed in Group B. Nepal will play against Malaysia in its first match on January 9.

Similarly, Nepal will meet Sri Lanka in the second match on January 12 and Bangladesh on January 14. All matches under the championship will take place in Dhaka and Jessore. Eight countries are participating in the championship. RSS
