Conflict survivors’ families honoured

missing peoplePalpa, Jan 1: The Local Peace Committee, Palpa honoured 80 families of those killed and disappeared during a decade-long armed conflict.

Acting Chief District Officer Tara Prasad Ghimire said that the committee did a laudable task for felicitating the conflict survivors’ families.

At a felicitation programme organized here on Thursday, leaders and representatives of local political parties said that the state should guarantee the food, clothes and shelters to the conflict victims.

Presiding over the programme, Local Peace Committee Palpa Coordinator Netra Prasad Pandey said that the committee ahs been successful in removing enmity between state side and rebel side and bringing them together in the same forum. RSS
