People’s Constitution among People campaign extended for one more month

nepal-constitutionKathmandu / January 5: The campaign entitled “People’s Constitution among People’ launched by the government in a bid to make people aware about the new constitution has been extended for one more month.

The government had started the campaign across the nation on December 7 in a bid to make the people aware about some provisions including their rights and responsibilities incorporated in the constitution.

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development said that the campaign would continue until February 4 as its continuity has been demanded at local level and the programme is yet to cover some other Tarai and hill districts.

Joint secretary at the Ministry Dr Hari Poudel said that as part of the campaign, various interactions were held in this regard in around 80 percent district headquarters, municipalities and VDCs in one month’s period.

He added that people from various walks of life including various political party leaders and cadres promptly participated in the campaign. RSS
