Climate change mainstreaming plan of action prepared

Banke / January 7: A mainstreaming plan of action for climate change adaptation and disaster risk management has been prepared at Kamdi of Banke.

The action plan was prepared by Hariyo Ban Programme/CARE-Nepal in partnership with Kamdi VDC and FECOFUN, Banke with a view to complete the implementation of the proposed actions within the next fiscal year.

The action plan was prepared and handed over with the responsibility of implementing Local Adaptation Plan of Action (LAPA) and Community Adaptation Plan of Action (CAPA).

On the occasion, the need, importance and process involved in mainstreaming local adaptation and disaster risk management plan was highlighted.

Representatives of VDC level integrated plan formulation committee, ward citizens forum, local political parties, LAPA management committee and community forest groups were present at the programme. RSS
