Nayapani to be developed tourist site

Chautara / January 24: Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai has pledged for the development of information technology along the Melamchi-Chautara section in Sindhupalchowk district by installing optical fibres.

Inaugurating the Chaturveda Parayan Gyanmahayagya at Nayapani of Badegaun VDC-4 in the district on Saturday, Minister Rai assured to develop Nayapani as a tourist site and take initiatives for the construction of a bridge over Indrawati River in Bahunepati.

Nayapani is a unique source of water that sees water during October to July once in twelve years while the water dries up rest of the time. The Nayapani Conservation Committee has started a month-long special programme to lure the domestic tourists in the area.
