Bhakatapur DAO distributes Rs 253 million for quake survivors for warm clothes

Bhaktapur / January 24: The District Administration Office Bhaktapur has so far allocated Rs 253.15 million for the survivors of the last year’s devastating earthquake to buy warm clothes.

The assistance amount was distributed through the six municipalities in the district.

Some 25,315 families who were left homeless by the earthquake received the assistance amount, according to Officiating Chief District Officer Shibaraj Joshi.

Some 300 families who were said to be the disaster victims earlier were found fake.

Bhaktapur is one of the 14 districts affected most by the 2015 April-May earthquake and the government earlier announced Rs 10,000 for the survivors to buy warm clothes. RSS
