Manang lifts Aaha-Rara Gold Cup

Manang MarsynagdiPokhara / January 30: The Manang Marsyangdi Club on Saturday clinched the 14th Aaha-Rara Gold Cup Football Championship after edging Tribhuvan Army Club 1-0 in the final.

The only and decisive goal came in the 47th minute from Manang’s Subash Gurung. In the tournament organized by Sahara Club – Pokhara, the victorious Manang Marsyangdi received cash prize of Rs 501,001 and a running shield. The winning players received medals and certificates.

The first runner-up, Tribhuvan Army Club received Rs 251,001 and a shield. The players received medals and certificates.

The tournament, which kicked off on January 19, saw participation from 12 teams including three foreign teams. RSS
