Bhaktapur municipality to support quake survivors

BhaktapurBhaktapur / January 31: The Bhaktapur Municipality has decided to waive off the fee in the approval of house design maps for the quake survivors building a new house. The cent percent waiver is being made to provide relief to the quake survivors.

The quake survivors who lost their homes completely in the quake and are building a quake-resistant house following a traditional style in the same plot will not have to pay the charge applicable in approving the house design, said executive officer of the Municipality, Kamala Ghimire. Likewise, those who have suffered minor damage will get 50 per cent concession.

Likewise, the Madhyapur Thimi municipality has also decided to waive 75 per cent of the fee in the approval of house design maps for the quake survivors. Also 50 per cent of the charge for sewage service will be waived off, said its executive officer Bhupendra Sapkota.

The municipality is also planning to run free public service commission exam preparation classes for members of the quake affected families. RSS
