Ranipokhari Temple getting new look

Ranipokhari TempleKathmandu / January 31: Reconstruction works of the Balgopal Temple inside the Ranipokhari Temple would be completed by upcoming Tihar festival. The temple was damaged in the April 25 earthquake last year.

The temple opens for commoners only on the day of Tihar each year. The temple is going to be reconstructed and renovated after 350 years by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).

The KMC official Dr Uttar Kumar Regmi said that the Temple would get a new look after reconstruction. Around 12 million rupees has been allocated for the reconstruction project.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari on January 16 had inaugurated the mega reconstruction campaign from the Ranipokhari premises.

Different parks would be also constructed during the reconstruction campaign.RSS
