Baniya elected NC Kathmandu President

NC PresidentKathmandu / February 17: Krishna (Sabuj) Baniya has been elected the district President of Nepali Congress, Kathmandu.

The district convention held at Bhrikutimandap in the capital on Wednesday elected Baniya the Kathmandu district president, shared Election Officer Sarbagya Raj Nayale.

Out of total 1,222 votes Baniya secured 653 against 565 received by his close contender Bhimsen Das Pradhan.

Likewise, Raj Kumar Nakarmi and Govidna Pudasaini from the Baniya group got elected to the post of Secretary and Treasurer. Nakarmi gained total 669 votes while Pudasaini 649. RSS
