Nepal jump 3 positions up in FIFA ranking

FIFAKathmandu / March 3: With recent two wins in the international tournament, Nepal has climbed three steps up in the latest FIFA ranking announced on Thursday.

Nepal now stand on the 185th position. Earlier, Nepal were on the 188th position with 66 points. Nepal, however, have not played any match that affects its ranking in the last month.

Though they played the 12th South Asian Games in February and won the gold medal, the participation did not count for the ranking as the participating team was an under-23.

Belgium top the chart among 209 countries followed by Argentina and Spain. Among other SAARC countries, Afghanistan stand on 151st position, Maldives on 158th position, India on 160th position, Bangladesh on 177th position, Sri Lanka on 189th position and Bhutan on 193rd position.
