Poudel files candidacy for party president
Kathmandu / March 4: Acting president of the Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Poudel has registered his candidacy for the post of party central president in the ongoing 13th National Convention of the party.
Flanked by the party general secretary Prakash Man Singh and Sujata Koirala, Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, Dr Shasank Koirala and Dr Minendra Rijal, among other leaders,Poudel filed his candidacy at 9.18 am today.
Party general secretary Singh and leaders Sujata Koirala, Sanjaya Gautam, Padam Narayan Chaudhari Lal Kaji Gurung, Ramesh Dhamala and Bir Bahadur Rana proposed Poudel’s candidacy while Dr Mahat, Sabitri Chaudhari, Narendra Kerung, Ambar Singh Pradhan and Man Bahadur Nepali seconded it.
Likewise, Dr Shashank Koirala has registered his candidacy for the post of party general secretary and Sitadevi Yadav hers to the post of treasurer. RSS
