NMA delegation calls on PM Oli to complain NEA’s action

NMA logoKathmandu, March 4: A delegation of the Nepal Medical Association has called on Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli at his official Residence at Baluwatar in the capital today.

In the meeting, the delegation shared the confidence that the health sectors would be strengthened and qualitative as health was incorporated as the fundamental rights of the people in the new constitution.

Similarly, the delegation submitted a memorandum to the PM Oli urging not to cut the power supply in hospitals and health centres.

The memorandum reads that the latest decision of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to disrupt the power supply in some hospitals creating the discrimination between governmental and private hospitals.

The association chair Dr Anjani Kumar Jha and general secretary Dr Muktiram Shrestha urged the PM Oli to correct the NEA decision in this regard and make necessary decision not to disrupt the power supply.

In response, PM Oli assured them that he would consult with concerned bodies in this regard, delegation said. RSS
