Namu wins Miss College Nepal 2016 title

Kathmandu / March 4: Namu Malla was crowned Miss College Nepal 2016 at the grand finale of the competition held at Rashtriya Nachghar in Jamal last Wednesday. Nirjala Khanal and Amisha Shrestha were declared the first and second runners-up respectively.

Organized by Yuhan International Events Pvt Ltd, the finalists were also awarded with different subtitles. Winner Namu Malla also took away the Best Walk title. Similarly, Geet Khadgi won Miss Talent, Nirjala Khanal was awarded with the Best Personality title, and Rani Moktan walked away with Miss Congeniality title while Amisha Shrestha and Ritika Adhikari won the Viewers’ Choice and Management Choice Awards respectively.

At another competition held on the same stage, Sagar Sitoula and Heena Gurung were declared Nepal’s Top Model 2016 in the male and female categories respectively. A total of 18 men and 14 women had vied for the title. Sushant Shrestha and Alisha Chandrabanshi had to rejoice with the runners-up title at Nepal’s Top Model pageant.

Subtitle winners in both male and female categories of Nepal’s Top Model 2016 were declared on the same ceremony.

The panel of judges for the pageants comprised Ganesh Basnet, Hasan Khan, Pabina Khadka, Sushma Mahara, and Amit Jha among others.

Students of Nepal Institute of Fashion had designed costumes for the grand finale event, while Rojin Shakya had choreographed the pageant.

Sanjita Shrestha, chairperson of Yuhan International said that the sole motive of the event was to introduce young talents to the modeling world and give them a platform to hone their talent. Source: My Republica
