Government will boost performance, Finance Minister Poudel

Finance Minister PoudelButwal / March 8: Minister for Finance Bishnu Poudel has said the incumbent government would be the last one from the Legislature-Parliament.

He ruled out any chance for the change of guard as the government has possessed a clear majority in the parliament.

Minister Poudel, also the deputy general secretary of CPN-UML, hinted at the change in ruling coalition rather not in leadership even if Nepali Congress and Madhes based parties come to join the government.

Addressing the party cadres meet organized by the UML Rupandehi district constituency no. 4 on Tuesday, Minister Poudel said his party’s future campaign would be centered on development and prosperity.

He assured that the incumbent government would perform well unless it remains at helm. Minister Poudel further said the government has put in place a campaign to expedite development projects albeit some are ambitious.

The government however would complete the ambitious projects on its own, he noted. Also speaking at the programme were party central committee member Lila Giri, district vice-chair Shiva Subedi and other local leaders. RSS
